CoopMobile Great cheap phones! after your contract runs out you are stuck with no choice for new phones!!!

Well I got my self a new Galaxy S2 back in the days because these guys were offering a great package. 30 CHF per month and 100-150 CHF upfront.

Back then it was great because every other mobile operator were offering much expensive options such as 200-350 upfront and 100+ CHF packages. Well the CoopMobile deal was crazy and I'm sure most of the people jumped aboard.

And now my contract has completed its 24 month period and without any notice they (coopmobile) have extended my contract for another 12 months.

It is fine being with them for another 12 months or 24 months since the network is pretty much Orange and CoopMobile offers all what Orange offers EXCEPT the vast range of phones and mainly the choices as a customer would have when it comes to choosing phone or tablets.

CoopMobile range of phones comes down to about 5 or 6 phones that only apple fan boys would like.

Orange offers hundreds of phones for you to choose from. Well they could be a bit more expensive but they are catching up to being competitive.

So my advise would be to subscribe to CoopMobile. And when your contract runs out promptly give notice to them before like two months as a precaution to terminate the contract unless you find a good deal to renew.

Otherwise you would be stuck like me for another 12 months with a phone that doesnt last on battery even for a half a day, paying dead money in an effort to not pay their early termination fee and what not.

Poorest VoIP quality from Dellmont, Betamax and Fonarea brands. List of 80+ re-branded VoIP labels you got to beware of.

Worlds most pathetic and unacceptable levels of VoIP quality from Betamax, Dellmont and Fonarea brands.

sites like progx.ch shows a partial list of their brands, but still they don't include the full list. I have included the list at the end of this post.

I have tried dozens of these brands and found out that they are the worst in the industry.

Although they offer the cheapest rates in the industry they also turn out to offer the worst quality you could get out of a voip phone call.

To make worst even worst, they charge for the call even before the other party answers. and when somebody complains all they have to say is that its not their problem but the VoIP minute suppliers problem.

Try to stick with a good brand name although the rates are few cents more. You will save your money and headaches.

Do not switch to another brand to find a better connection, all their brands are using the same infrastructure and even the usernames are not usable among their brands because they are going through a one centralised database system.

think of it as a franchise where people buys the betamax and fonarea voip whitelabel and try to make some money.

You could easily figure out one of their sites by checking out the similarities of their rate lists. they look the same all across all of their brands,

here is a list of Dellmont relabelled brands. happens to be 80+ brands known as of 05/09/2013 (september 5th 2013) ( this is a rough list that I extracted from google and it is not a complete list.)

Android app that shows your connected cell tower location and other available towers with signal levels

Ever wondered why your phone reception level jumps up and down? well the wondering is over because with this app you could see the available cell towers nearby on a map and the connected cell tower.

With this nifty android app you could know which network performs or has the best network coverage in your area.

Say if you are wondering around looking for the best signal, you could use this app to find out in which direction the signal is coming from ( it shows the connected towers direction) all you have to do is follow the compass red arrow till you get a good signal.

the location of all the towers is pretty impressive too. I know and I have tried in the past to get hold of the same sort of app for Apple IOS devices called "Signal" and now "Signal 2". but the problem is they all work on jailbroken devices.

you could find out about all the features and download the app from the android play store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.staircase3.opensignal&hl=en
