• Jeremy Clarkson celebrates the 50th birthday of the Jaguar E-type by driving a modern, half a million pound interpretation of this classic sports car before putting on a typically low key birthday party involving live music, classic fighter planes and a group of Royal Marines.
• Meanwhile, Richard Hammond is in South Africa to test a bigger, even more rugged alternative to the famous Hummer, while James May meets up with gold medal winning British Olympian Amy Williams for a wintry test of the latest Mini rally car.
• Plus, the power crazed BMW 1-series M is on the test track and another top celebrity guest takes their place in the Reasonably Priced Car.

Acer Aspire 5735/5335/5735z memory upgrade not using all of the installed memory

My latest dilemma went for almost two days looking for a proper solution in vain. But finally managed to find a proper answer for my laptop memory upgrade dilemma.

It started when I upgraded my memory from 2GB to 4GB. The windows system properties was showing 4GB as installed RAM but due to mappings that fall between 2.90-4 GB it was unable to use all of the 4GB memory. So what am I suppose to do? Just be stuck with the fact that my well paid money go to waste.

So after going through various sites and from my own knowledge , I upgrade my 32bit version of Windows 7 to 64bit Windows to see it it works. na da. it didnt.

Ok next thing I wanted upgrade the BIOS just in case ACER has remapped everything so its customers can enjoy seeing and actually using whopping (:)) 4GB of memory.

So I had to visit ACER Europe and upgrade my BIOS to Version 1.10.

Select BIOS 1.10 from the drop down box in the BIOS section.

Voila... It worked. Now System properties shows that the machine is using 4GB of memory.

So case solved.

Guys so just try updating your BIOS just to see if it works for you too. and here is proof

FringOut Sucks!! Frequent dropped calls

Calls to Sri Lanka as low as 7.9c USD and 6.1c USD to land lines? sounds tempting? then read on.




Recently fringout brought down their rates. and Ive seen how they have kept it as a Xmas present to cover it up. But the truth is they are trying to grow their subscriber base and to be in the edge of the competition with Skype's much more brilliant SkypeOut service.

So I got to try out both services. Signed up for Skypeout with their monthly subscription and gave it a go. The calls were awesome and call quality was out of this world. No dropped calls etc. So high five for them.

Checked out fringOut as well just to call Sri Lanka since they were the only voip service offering the cheapest calls to date. But I got to say how calls began to drop every 3 or 4 minutes and it was just another pathetic attempt to get back at SkypeOut.

notice how I had to dial every time the calls drops. so annoying I know but as with any service who offers low cost calls , they have to relieve the pressure of the systems some how so I think it's all good when you look at in that perspective.

firesheep plugin for Firefox

Found this awesome plugin that can be used to test how secure your logins are when used with a non secured (open) wifi link. It basically captures the cookies as it passes by the wifi link. But keep in mind its pretty limited as in when you logout of you session (gmail, facebook, etc) it makes the cookie (if captured by someone) invalid. So making it impossible to login using the captured cookies.

Emanage Ultimate Installation Files

Thought of helping out the fellow Greddy Emanage Ultimate users, I had a hard time finding these files when my Emanage ultimate installation Cd was Lost. So thought of making it easier for the guys to install it in one go.

 Extract and run the file labelled " Run this first" and then after the installation finishes run the second update to make version 2.2 which is the latest emanage ultimate software edition.

I have some maps as well if you guys wanna check them out or use it as sample for whatever use.

SLT ADSL probs......

Guys if any of you is having probs with microsoft's sites not loading in any of the browsers on your pc. try changing your routers or pc's encapsulation method to PPPoE with LLC. it actually worked for me.

I've been using PPPoA for ages and it played up this morning and that change i mentioned above did perfectly.

leave 1492 for mtu as it is.
